Elephant Love

This piece was inspired by Dali's Elephants. Dali has always been an inspiration of mine. As a teenager, I would study his work for hours. I was drawn to the obscure surrealism and incredible talent. I especially liked his work with elephants - their long legs, the symbolism, and even the sense of isolation. When I was asked create a piece with elephants inspired by Dali, I wanted to try something different. Instead of displaying isolation, I wanted to bring the two together - joined by love.
Lately I've felt like I have so much to be thankful for - a wonderful family, healthy boys, a job I absolutely love, a new connection to my art, living parents, close relationships...and everything else God has provided. I feel very blessed...and I wish you all the same happiness!
