This illustration was created for this week's
Illustration Friday challenge: "Tree." I love trees - all types. When I found out that this week's challenge was tree, I had a tough time choosing which kind of tree to draw. One thing I knew was that I wanted it to be loved (and hugged) and for it to be hugging the subject right back.
This is another playful illustration with a watercolor/pen and ink combo. I tried drawing it with pen first, only to find that when I added the paint, the ink bled. *UGH! So I redrew it in pencil this time, added the paint and then added pen and ink at the end.
