Heather Torres Art: George the Giraffe

Here is George the Giraffe - for a cousin who loves giraffes and asked me to paint one for her new (and first) apartment. I've been painting a lot lately for family and friends and I have found those paintings to be very rewarding. It's less pressure than a commission...and best of all, the paintings are for people I care about. I tried to be a little more "loose" with this painting and I think it paid off. I like the different colors in this piece and the dripping paint. More freedom, less thought, and overall, less detail...but I think it works!
