Heather Torres Art: Red Cardinal Whimsy

Painting #2 of my 30 Paintings in 30 Days. So far so good! I started painting this piece yesterday and after a few brush strokes in, my dad, who has been visiting for the past two weeks, told me his favorite bird is the cardinal. He grew up in Minnesota where lots of cardinals live. We don't see many here in Florida but I think they are beautiful birds. I love their red feathers. I think I'll put a few more birds into this series but I'll be switching up the background soon. Hope you're enjoying your January so far!
